Chariot Oil & Gas commented on its activities across Africa and in Brazil during H1. According to the company it has had a very productive year to date. Its highlights includeed securing Woodside Energy in Morocco as a partner on its Rabat Deep Offshore permits. The deal gives Chariot a return on all its back costs as well as a carry on additional data acquisition, while retaining a 50% operated interest. It also saw the award of the Mohammedia Reconnaissance License offshore Morocco; securing prospectivity seen to extend from the Loukos permit. It is currently processing 1,700 sq km 3D seismic acquired offshore Morocco, which fulfills all its commitments.
In Namibia the company saw 2,128 km 2D seismic acquired offshore Southern Block 2714B, Namibia. The acquisition of seismic fulfilled all Chariot’s commitments within this license. It is also continuing a portfolio review which resulted in provision against carrying value of Northern Blocks.
In Mauritania the company saw 3D seismic PSDM interpretation get underway. A resource update is expected in Q1 2015, subsequent well partnering process to commence after that.
