ENI and Kogas Sign Cooperation Agreement

ENI and Kogas have signed a cooperation agreement to further strengthen their relationship in a number of areas, particularly in the upstream and LNG sectors. The agreement will allow the companies to jointly pursue opportunities worldwide and is expected to facilitate the LNG development of Mozambique’s Offshore Area 4.

ENI is the operator of Area 4 with a 50% indirect interest, while Kogas, Galp Energia, and ENH are partners in the agreement with a 10% interest each and CNPC holds 20% indirect participation. Area 4’s total resources are estimated to be approximately 85 Tcf of gas in place and ready to enter in the development phase next year.
