Monday, March 13, 2017

Wentworth released the results of an independent evaluation of the gas reserves within the Mnazi Bay Concession in Tanzania. The evaluation was carried out by RPS Energy Canada Ltd. on behalf of Maurel et Prom and Wentworth.

According to Geoff Bury, Wentworth’s MD, the report from RPS was consistent with the previous year’s report which showed an increase in Net Proved Developed Producing (PDP) reserves of 88% and 2P reserves increasing by 20%. The results reinforce the potential of the Mnazi Bay fields, Bury said.

The company expects production volumes to materially ramp up next year with the start-up of the new power plants, Kinyerezi-I expansion and Kinyerezi II, the existing reserves provide a solid foundation to grow production from the Mnazi Bay concession in the near future.

Wentworth holds 31.94% ownership in the Mnazi Bay Concession
