Namibia Well Spud Pushed Back

Thursday, April 6, 2017

Drilling of the first exploration well on Namibia’s PEL 37 has been pushed back as Tullow Oil feels further work is required to indentify a drillable prospect.

Under a farm-out agreement between Tullow Namibia and Pancontinental Oil & Gas, the drilling of the first exploration well was to commence no later than March 27, provided a drillable prospect had been identified from the 2D and 3D seismic surveys. Although Pancontinental  considers that a drillable prospect has been identified within PEL-37, Tullow disagrees.

Pancontinental has sought an update from Tullow on the current status of that ongoing work and will report on that update when it is received, which should take place during H1.
