Plans are in the works to increase production at Libya’s Al Sharara oil field. Production increases were discussed between NOC chairman, Mustafa Sanalla and Repsol’s director of Libya business unit Luis Polo Navas at a meeting in Libya.
According to Navas,Repsol had been working hard to assist Akakus Oil Co. (Repsol/NOC JV company), the operator of the Al Sharara, by providing the essential equipment and spare parts and ensuring their delivery to the operations areas.
For his part, Sanalla stated that NOC had been doing its utmost in following up the activities of the oil companies and making sure that their work had been done as per the requirements in order to reach the planned targets of production levels.
Both parties, according to a NOC statement, emphasized the necessity of supplying the fields with all the essential needs for the workers and providing them with the appropriate work environment.
