Tanzania Minister of Energy & Mines to Meet Industry Players in September

The Minister of Energy & Mines, Hon. Sospeter M. Muhongo has formally announced his support and participation in the upcoming Tanzania Oil & Gas Congress, organised by the CWC Group. The inaugural Tanzania Oil & Gas Congress is the only strategic event with official support from the Ministry of Energy and Minerals.

Also joining the senior level speaker line up will be Eng. Kapuulya Musomba, Acting Managing Director of Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation.

With a variety of issues facing the energy sector in Tanzania, the Tanzania Oil & Gas Congress is well placed to bring together new and existing industry players to discuss the following key topics:

• Government short-medium term plans and priorities for the energy sector
• Increasing Government and Industry collaboration to drive the industry forward
• Business opportunities available with the Uganda-Tanzania Crude Oil Pipeline
• What plans are in place to implement the Gas Masterplan?
• What are the plans and strategies for gas monetisation?
• Reviewing regional partnerships within Mozambique, Zanzibar, Uganda an Kenya
• How can the potentials of industrialisation be unlocked through increased energy supply?
• Plans to progress the LNG project
• Developing a roadmap for sustainable domestic capacity development by examining the gaps, reviewing international best practice and realising the most value
• Creating an enabling environment of investors and outlining current and new opportunities for investment
• Streamlining cross-governmental processes to increase efficiency

The Congress will also showcase where the opportunities for investment and partnerships lie in Tanzania for both local and international companies.
