Tullow Expects TEN Production Boost

Sunday, May 21, 2017

Ghana’s TEN field will see a boost in production to 80,000 bpd following the drilling of new wells according to Tullow Oil, the field’s operator. The new wells will be drilled later this year, after the maritime dispute between Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire is settled by the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.

A ruling from the tribunal is expected in the coming months.

Tullow Ghana’s MD, Charles Darku, told shareholders, “We are looking to the Ghana government to reach a resolution on that to enable us immediately to resume drilling new wells as planned in order to boost production to the plateau of 80,000 bpd.”

Tullow and its partners on the TEN field will need to drill at least six more wells for the field to reach its full potential.
