Uganda and Oranto Expected to Sign PSA

Negotiations between Oranto Petroleum International out of Nigeria, and the government of Uganda for the PSA for one of the blocks the country auctioned off is almost concluded. According to reports out of the East African country, it is just about ready to sign the PSAs.

Uganda is also ready to finalize the PSA with Armour Energy out of Australia.

Oranto and Armour were among a number of companies that bid in Uganda’s first licensing round last year. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development said the deal with Oranto covers the Ngassa Shallow Play and the Ngassa Deep Play blocks located near the southern part of Lake Albert.
