AASE 24 a Success on NW Gemsa

Partners on the NW Gemsa concession in Egypt, Circle Oil, NPIC, and SDX Energy encountered significant oil bearing reservoir sections while drilling the Al Amir SE 24 (AASE 24) development well. According to SDX Energy the oil bearing reservoir sections were encountered in both the Kareem Rahmi and Shagar formations.

The well was drilled to a depth of 9,925 ft, log analysis indicates 15 ft of net Shagar oil pay and 7 ft of net Rahmi oil pay.  The well flowed on test light 43.6° API oil at an average rate of 1,714 bpd with 3.062 Mmcf/d of associated gas. The well was completed as a Shagar producer and has been connected to the existing facilities and it will be placed on production immediately.
