Oranto Petroleum is pushing a farm down of its stake in Namibia’s Blocks 2011B and 2111A. The Nigerian firm is seeking one or more partners to continue its exploration of the highly ranked acreage offshore Namibia.
The marketing of the acreage is being handled by Acorn Geophysical who has opened an electronic data room offering interested parties the chance to access over 11,000 sq km of undrilled acreage offshore Namibia.
While 3D data only covers 20% of the blocks, the data clearly shows the presence of large structures and very interesting new stratigraphic play concepts in the Cretaceous section both inboard and to the west of the previously mapped Ondjou structural high. The four main prospects mapped on the block, so far, are estimated to have gross unrisked prospective resources in the order of 1.5 billion barrels.
An online data room is available for initial project review after completion of a confidentiality agreement.
