Addax Hits Production Milestone in Nigeria

First production from the Nda Field on OPL 90 offshore Nigeria was announced by Addax Petroleum. According to the company production from the field, which commenced on July 30, brings it gross production to 102,200 bpd. The company’s new production totals are a milestone for Addax, as it is the first time the company’s production has topped 100,000 bpd.

The Nda Field was discovered by Addax Petroleum in July 2004 and is adjacent to the Okwori field. The field is being developed as a subsea tie-back to the Okwori FPSO on OPL 90 following an extended well test.

Commenting on the development Jean Claude Gandur, President and Chief Executive Officer of Addax Petroleum said, "We are delighted and proud of these two concurrent achievements which underline our commitment to growth through the development of our resources. In the growth cycle of any E&P company, exceeding 100,000 bpd marks a coming of age."
