Africa Oil Week Roadshows-Somalia and Republic of Congo

Companies looking for opportunities for acreage in Africa should head to Cape Town for the 23rd Africa Oil Week. The event will play host to more than one licensing round presentation, with both Somalia and the Republic of Congo showcasing their acreage opportunities.

Following the significant progress made in the framework for oil and gas exploration in Somalia, Mohamed Mukhtar Ibrahim, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources will provide details on the plans for the country’s 2017 License Round. The Minister will also host a Roadshow Presentation, with attendees from the Somalia government. The presentation will cover and update on oil and gas activity as well as legal and regulatory framework.

The ROC roadshow will include a petroleum code and license round update by the country’s Minister of Hydrocarbons, Jean-Maroc Thystere Tchicaya. The 2016 and 2017–2019 Congo License Rounds and Roadshow is supported by PGS. The Ministry and SNPC will have an Exhibition Booth at the event and the government delegation will be available for private meetings.
