The two As of Africa’s big five producing countries, Algeria and Angola, are looking for ways to cooperate further in the energy sector. A working group to draw up a roadmap that will identify future areas of cooperation between Angola and Algeria was created on July 9 in Luanda when the oil ministers from the two countries met.
Speaking to the press after a meeting of Angolan and Algerian delegations, headed by the ministers of oil and gas, Angola’s Jose Botelho de Vasconcelos, said the country plans at that time to boost and deepen relations with Algeria in the field of industry, taking into account that this country is well developed in this branch.
He also said that there is already a protocol of cooperation between training institutes in the area of oil from both countries, focused mainly on the definition of various curricula and courses. “We have an institution that will now be implemented in the future to train engineers and accordingly will develop and capitalize on the cooperation and the potential that each party has for the future,” said the government official.
