Monday, March 19, 2018

ENI’s cumulative oil production from AGIBA, an Egyptian JV company formed between its subsidiary IEOC and EGPC, has reached 500 million barrels. The JV company has been active in Egypt’s Western Desert since 1981.

According to ENI, recent effort towards new exploration and development activities has brought unprecedented results. The company went on to say that thanks to the development of a number of new discoveries such as Rosa North, Emry Deep and Melehia West Deep within an existing conventional asset, AGIBA, leveraging on its operated infrastructures has been able to produce and valorize oil resources amounting to around 110 million barrels in the last five years, thus reaching the target of 500 million barrels as oil cumulative production.

ENI plans new exploration investments in the next four years aimed to valorize the deep oil potential and the gas resources of the Melehia Concession.
