Reports out of Nigeria’s have NNPC forming a partnership with the country’s air force in a bid to curtail oil theft in Niger Delta and also promote the current exploration for oil in the Chad Basin. The pair, NNPC and the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), pledged to work hand-in-hand to promote the ongoing acquisition of seismic data in the Chad Basin and to curb crude oil theft in the creeks of the Niger Delta.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu, the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Dr. Joseph T. Dawha said the visit was to foster closer cooperation and collaboration between NNPC and NAF for the socio-economic growth, peace, security, and stability of the country.
NAF has provided invaluable services to Nigeria’s petroleum sector through the Joint Task Force tagged ‘Operation Pulo Shield’ where the NAF is one of the key players Dr. Dawha said.
