ISIS militants in Libya took a hit when an unidentified aircraft attacked a convoy of the militants on January 10 near Sirte. ISIS has shored up in Sirte and has been advancing across the area from there to expand its presence in the country.
According to a Reuters report, the air force allied to the internationally recognized government based in the east did not carry out the attacks.
January 10 also saw three boats try to attack the oil port at Zueitina, according to a spokesman for the Petroleum Facilities Guard. According to the spokesman the attack was repelled, with one of the vessels being set on fire. Over the past week there has been fighting in and around the ports at Es Sider and Ras Lanuf.
