Algeria and Italy Conclude Gas Deal

Algeria and Italy have concluded a gas supply deal that has the North African country supplying 10 Bcm/y of natural gas. The new deal is aimed at strengthening Italy’s security of supply.

The gas will be shipped through the Transmed pipeline and will meet 16% of the European country’s natural gas needs.
