AbdelmoumenOuldKaddour , chief executive of Algeria’s state-run oil and gas firm Sonatrach, while speaking to reporters said that the country would acquire more vessels to export gas to Asia. Kaddour said the increase in vessels was needed as sales to that region had seen a boost.
“With Russia and the U.S., gas competition is tough,” AbdelmoumenOuldKaddour told reporters during a visit to the HassiMessaoud oilfield. “Europe are our traditional clients but we need to secure the Asian markets to sell our gas.”
