Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and its partners in Mozambique on Offshore Area 1 have executed a LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the supply of 0.28 million tons of LNG per year for a 15-year period to Tohoku Electric Power Company.
The SPA further demonstrates the steady progress Anadarko is making toward its target of an affirmative FID during H1 2019. It brings together one of Japan’s most important LNG buyers and the Anadarko-operated Mozambique LNG project and affirms Anadarko’s belief that Mozambique LNG will be a cost-competitive, long-term, global LNG supplier.
