Over Q3 Anadarko continued to make strides in advancing three international mega projects, one of those projects is in Algeria. At its El Merk project the company saw the second oil train commissioned and oil production continued to increase during the period.
Anadarko also said that construction on a third train continued to advance during Q3 and final commissioning is now taking place. Upon completion of the third train the El Merk development is expected to achieve production rates in excess of 30,000 bpd net to Anadarko.
The company is one of the largest independent producers in Algeria and during Q3 saw its production rates average approximately 307,000 bpd of oil.
