Anadarko Petroleum Corp. saw its gross production rates in Algeria average approximately 400,000 boepd, during Q3. According to the company, this is the highest average rate seen on its fields in Algeria since 2010. Its Q3 production was 40,000 boepd higher than produced in the previous quarter.
The company’s production increases were driven by El Merk ramping to the new plateau rate of more than 165,000 boepd. Also boosting production figures was Anadarko’s Ourhoud field, which saw production increasing to rates in excess of 130,000 bpd. The company attributes the Ourhoud production rise to the completion of its increased water handling project.
