Angola Carves Up Namibe Basin

In Angola an executive decree was issued carving up the offshore area of the Namibe Basin. By means of Executive Decree No. 33/15, of February 6 the Minister of Petroleum divided the Namibe Basin into 12 oil blocks; blocks 11, 12, 13, 27, 28, 29, 30, 41, 42, 43, 44, and 45.

The offshore Namibe Basin area was divided up for the purpose of granting oil concessions in the future.
