As if it wasn’t large enough, GE is considering another acquisition, this time with one of the industry’s top three oil services firms. Rumors currently circulating have GE sending out feelers to Baker Hughes on the possibility of an acquisition.
The acquisition would cost GE an estimated $23 billion, quite a bit more than the $13 billion it paid in its recent purchase of Alstom.
Baker Hughes saw its merger with Halliburton come to a full stop in May due to opposition from regulators.
