Big Players Step out for MOC

The Mediterranean Offshore Conference (MOC) took place in Alexandria, Egypt April 17-19, hosting high level dignitaries and executive from Egypt and abroad.

 

The North African country’s Minster of Petroleum Tarek El Molla opened the 9th MOC which rotates each year between Alexandria and Ravenna, Italy each year. The theme of this year’s conference was “Mediterranean Potentials – Unlocked Step 2”.

 

El Molla kept in theme during his speech, and specifically reiterated Egypt’s ongoing theme, positioning itself as an energy hub for the region. The Minister discussed steps that have taken to realize its goal and future plans to make it a reality. Highlighting Egypt’s unique geographic location as just one of the country’s attributes, he went on to say it meets all of the criteria for becoming a regional energy hub, including its existing infrastructure, which is quite significant in the Med region.
