One of Royal Dutch Shell’s units in Nigeria, SNEPCo, announced that the Bonga field offshore the West African country has been shut down for maintenance.
“The exercise will help ensure sustained production and reduced unscheduled production deferments. This is the fourth turnaround maintenance since Bonga began production,” Bayo Ojulari, the MD of the company said.
The main focus of the maintenance is the Bonga’s FPSO.
According to Ojulari production from the field is expected to resume in April.
