Bowleven issued an update on its Etinde Exploitation Authorization Application (EEAA) that was submitted to the government of Cameroon where the Etinde Permit is located. The EEAA defines the means of monetizing the Etinde’s hydrocarbon reserves by way of supplying treated gas to a government sponsored fertilizer plant and also through a potential LNG scheme.
The submission of the EEAA was jointly approved by Bowleven and its partner CAMOP at a management committee meeting January 3 and was subsequently submitted to the Cameroonian authorities for their approval on January 6.
The Ministry of Mines has confirmed receipt of the application and has advised that it will respond to the application once SNH, the state-run firm, has reverted with its technical opinion.
