BP’s Atoll Online Before Year-end

Monday, November 13, 2017

Tarek El Molla, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum, during an inspection of the first stage of BP’s Atoll gas field development said the field is one of the recent important discoveries made in the sector. The gas production from the field is set to come online at the end of this year.

El Molla held a meeting with the regional director of BP in North Africa, Hesham Mekawi, and officials at the Ministry of Petroleum and the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) to follow up on the progress of the field’s development, whose total investment amounts to $3.8 billion.

Atoll, an eastern Nile Delta discovery BP made in November 2017, will bring 250 Mmcf/d to the country’s output totals.
