Buhari Asks NNPC Head to Join Cabinet

Head of NNPC, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, has been asked by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari to join his cabinet.

Senate President Bukola Saraki revealed the request while reading out the names of Buhari’s cabinet nominations. He did not say which portfolio Kachikwu would be apart of, however it is expected that he will be named State Minister of Petroleum under Buhari who plans to hold on to the portfolio himself.
