Calima Enters Namibia

Calima Energy was awarded a 5,433 sq km exploration block in the emerging deepwater oil play of Namibia’s Orange River Basin, Block 2813B. The petroleum agreement is for a 56% stake and operatorship under an initial four-year term.

During the first year of the initial four-year term, Calima will undertake an evaluation of the existing data in and around the block. It will also acquire 2D or 3D seismic data and undertake a detailed prospectivity review before the four-year term is up.
