Cameroon launched a new bidding round, offering up four oil blocks according to state-run SNH’s website. The round was launched on January 14 and the closing date is June 26.
The four blocks put on offer are the Bomana, Lungahe, and Ndian River Blocks in the Rio del Rey Basin and the Manyu Block in the Mamfe Basin. The acreage covers both onshore and offshore exploration potential.
Under the PSCs for the winning bidders, the work programs for the Bomana and Lungahe Blocks include the drilling of at least one well during the initial exploration phase as well as the acquisition, processing, and reprocessing of seismic, and geosciences studies. The terms for the Ndian River and Manyu Blocks include the drilling of at least one well and geophysical and geosciences work during the initial exploration phase.
