Sonatrach, Algeria’s state-run firm, and Spain’s Cepsa extended their partnership with the signing of contracts for two oil fields. The contracts were for the Rhourde El Krouf (RKF) and Ourhoud oil fields.
Under the contracts the RKF will be extended by 25 years, while the Ourhoud oil field will be extended by 10 years. The Sonatrach-Cepsa contract for Ourhoud was due to expire in 2019, a statement from Sonatrach said.
The two sides also signed a MoU to explore opportunities in other areas where both companies have common interests in Algeria and internationally.
