Chariot Oil & Gas, in conjunction with its partners AziNam, Namcor, and Ignitus launched a 2D seismic survey on the Central Blocks 2312 and 2412A offshore Namibia. The approximate 1,700-km survey will be acquired by SeaBird Exploration.
Chariot and its partners have agreed to initially carry out a 2D survey, which will infill an existing grid of data in order to gain a better understanding of the regional prospectivity of the license area, which covers approximately 16,800 sq km. This will enable the company to optimize the design of the location and size of the 3D seismic program required as a commitment during this current phase of exploration.
The survey is anticipated to take about two weeks to acquire.
