Circle Oil updated its operations in Egypt and Tunisia, revealing that the infill drilling campaign on the on Egypt’s North West Gemsa field is continuing. The first of two production wells, the AASE-23, has been drilled to TD and tied into production infrastructure. The well will be produced at a lower rate in order to best manage the long term field production.
The second production well in the two-well campaign, the AASE-24, was spud on February 8.
In Tunisia Circle is continuing the farm out process for the Mahdia permit. The company said that despite the difficult market conditions it remains engaged with a number of interested parties.
