Thursday, March 21, 2019

The LNG industry’s most anticipated event will open in Shanghai in just two weeks’ time, offering LNG professionals from all over the globe a unique opportunity to learn, network and do business in the world’s fastest growing LNG market. LNG2019 is being held in China for the first time in its 50-year history providing unparalleled access to Chinese companies, both during the conference and at exclusive networking events throughout the week.

With so much activity currently taking place in the region, there couldn’t be a better time to arrange meetings with potential new buyers and partners in Shanghai – registered delegates may now request meetings with fellow delegates by contacting the organizers at [email protected]. View the full list of companies attending on the LNG2019 website to see who you can meet.

Major delegations have already booked to attend from a host of leading Chinese companies including CNPC, CNOOC, Sinopec, PetroChina, Shenzhen Gas Corporation, Shanghai LNG Company, Shanghai Jiulian Group Co. Ltd., Beijing Gas Group, the Hong Kong & China Gas Company and Zhejiang Energy Gas Group Co. LNG2019 is the only event where delegates will be able to hear from the leaders of the big three Chinese energy giants together on stage this year; Hua Yang, Chairman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), Yilin Wang, Chairman of CNPC, and Zhongyun Liu, Vice President of Sinopec Group are all confirmed to speak in the event’s official Opening Ceremony.

Other confirmed speakers from China include Yalan Li, Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Beijing Gas Group, Dinan Huang, Chairman of Shenergy Group, Guobiao Ye, Chairman of Shanghai Petroleum Gas Exchange (SHPGX) and Alfred Chan, Managing Director of The Hong Kong & China Gas Company Limited.

The event, which takes place 1-5 April 2019, also brings together the heads of leading players in the global LNG market, including Darren W. Woods, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Exxon Mobil Corporation, Ben van Beurden, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Dutch Shell plc, Gazprom’s Alexey Miller and Bob Dudley, Group Chief Executive of energy giant BP plc.

“The networking opportunities at LNG2019 will be unparalleled,” said Rodney Cox, Events Director at the IGU. “Delegates often tell us this is where much of the added-value of attending comes from, and this year, delegates can look forward to a host of special networking events”. The week will kick off with the event’s official Welcome Reception at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre on Monday 1 April. Take a step back into the 1920s and experience old Shanghai: live cooking stations will demonstrate the art of dumpling making and duck carving; listen to the sounds of Peking Opera; and watch traditional Chinese crafts being made right before you.

LNG2019 will see more than 240 international speakers take to the stage over four days. The event, which is the only LNG event owned by the industry and run for the industry, attracts thousands of professionals from all over the world and across the entire LNG supply chain.

There is still time to register as a delegate at www.lng2019.com/registration. Please note, online registration (saving $445) will close 22 March, after which time delegates may register onsite from 31 March.
