More than 100 people were killed in a cross border in Ethiopia on April 15. According to reports out of the country, gunmen from South Sudan crossed the border in the Gambela region of Ethiopia and killed 140 people.
A statement from the government communications office said that the attack was carried out by bandits from South Sudan. “Ethiopian troops are pursuing the bandits inside South Sudan. 60 of the assailants have been killed so far,” it added.
