Dana Gas plans to drill new wells during 2017 and add to its production out of Egypt. An Amwal Al Ahad report said the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, met with Dana Gas’ Director in Egypt, Iman Hill, and Dana Gas’ General Manager in Egypt Michael Pyszka, to review the company’s plans for its JV El Wastani Petroleum Company (WASCO).
WASCO plans to drill new wells, which will be added to production. The company also said that existing wells from its Balsam field will also be linked to production facilities.
In addition, the possibility of renting and installing a temporary gas processing unit to handle production until the expansion work at Al Wastani’s main processing station end was discussed.
The attendees also reviewed the company’s drilling plans during the second half of 2016/2017 as it plans to drill two new wells in its concession area as well as a third exploratory well in Balsam field. Results of the drilling of the Mocha well in Al Matrya concession were also gone over.
