DrillScan’s New Adventure with H&P Technologies

Friday, November 15, 2019

United Arab Emirates – November 13, 2019: For almost 20 years, DrillScan has been applying a scientific research and development approach to engineering. This is exactly why H&P Technologies (HPT), a subsidiary of Helmerich and Payne, Inc., acquired the company earlier this summer.

DrillScan is a leading provider of proprietary drilling engineering software, well engineering services and training for the oil and gas industry. Its services reduce nonproductive time (NPT) and improve drilling performances, which can be performed pre- or post-drilling and in real time by monitoring drilling dysfunctions and determining solutions to mitigate them.

DrillScan serves major Oil & Gas operators around the world and has been concentrating its efforts in the Middle East thanks to pilot projects with National Oil Companies in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

With the recent acquisition by Helmerich & Payne, DrillScan is now part of HPT, along with Motive Drilling System, MagVAR and Angus Jamieson Consulting, driving the development of advanced technologies and directional drilling automation solutions to help customers achieve greater reliability and well performance.

This acquisition not only provided DrillScan with the financial and structural base needed to sustain its rapid growth, it also provides a strong backing to tackle long-term projects with customers who now have the reassurance DrillScan will be here for many years to come.

As H&P is preparing to celebrate 100 years of excellence as a leading drilling contractor, we are very excited to be part of the HPT family and look forward to bringing our contribution to the company for another century.

DrillScan is happy to be present at ADIPEC 2019 thanks to its agent Terracotta Commercial Agencies and looks forward to helping local NOCs and IOCs improve their drilling performances.
