DualEx Energy International Inc. will not be getting further time on Tunisia’s Bouhajla Permit. The company was advised by the Tunisian Department of Energy that any further extensions to the primary term of the Bouhajla Permit would not be granted.
As a result of the government’s determination and the fact that there is insufficient time to complete the necessary work required under the work program to move into the next term, DualEx is surrendering the permit.
The primary term on the permit will expire on August 7.
The company had been seeking a JV partner to participate in the next stage of exploration, however, due to the severe downturn in the international oil and gas exploration sector, these efforts have been unsuccessful.
