Egypt is expected to see three new wells drilled by Edison at the outset of 2017. The wells will be drilled on the South Idku, the Abu Qir, and the North West Gendy.
In addition, the Italian firm plans to enhance production at its Abu Qir-3 by December 2016. Production should rise to 80 Mcf/d of gas and 3,500 bpd of condensates. The company is also looking to construct a power plant at Abu Qir and is negotiating with authorities to provide gas for feedstock to the plant.
