Fleet Energy Inc., out of the UAE, received approval to import LNG from Egypt. EGAS granted the firm initial approval for the firm in response to a request made in late-April. The quantity to be imported and the cost were not reported.
Since 2010 Fleet Energy has been involved in Egypt’s petroleum sector, first with the award to process 1.5 million barrels per month of crude oil at Midor refinery. Fleet sells these refined products back to EGPC.
Fleet Energy is now part of the direct supply between Rosneft and EGPC for the supply of crude oil and petroleum products as well as the supply of LNG with EGAS.
