Egypt’s state-run firm in charge of the country’s natural gas industry, Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. (EGAS), has a new chairman. Khaled Abdel Badie is the new chief a Ministry report said. Badie, the vice-chairman of EGAS, replaces Taher Abdelrahman.
The Ministry report, which announced a number of changes in the leadership of state energy companies, did not list a reason for the shake-up.
Abdelrahman was named head of Khalda Petroleum Co., a JV owned by US independent Apache Corp. and state-run Egyptian General Petroleum Corp (EGPC).
