EGAS Plans New Licensing Round

Egypt’s state-run firm in charge of the country’s natural gas industry, EGAS, is in the process of preparing for a new licensing round. The licensing round will offer up acreage in the offshore Mediterranean area.

Khaled Abdel Badie, Chairman of EGAS, said that the areas and other details were currently in the process of approval by the relevant ministries, according to a Daily News Egypt report.
