The Egina FPSO has entered Nigerian territorial waters according to reports out of the country. The FPSO, which set sail from Singapore at the end of October, will be used on Total’s Egina field.
Scheduled to enter into production in 2018, the Egina oil project is located 200 km offshore from Port Harcourt in the south of the country, at a water depth of about 1,600 meters. With a maximum expected production level of 200,000 bpd, it is one of Nigeria’s largest oil projects.
