EGPC, Egypt’s state-run oil and gas firm, is seeing production rates of 57,000 bpd of crude, which the Petroleum Ministry says is unprecedented.
In a statement to the press, the Ministry said EGPC’s production increased due to two new fields being discovered, NES-5 and NES-7.
“Both fields produce 3,000 barrels of crude oil and 1.5 million cubic feet of gas per day,” the statement read.
