Egypt and Côte d’Ivoire look to Boost Energy Cooperation

Dr. Wael Badawi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Abidjan, met the Minister of Oil, Energy and Ivorian Mines, Thomas Camara, and congratulated him on his appointment to the new government, assuring Egypt’s keenness to develop cooperation with Côte d ‘ Ivoire in the fields of oil, energy and energy Mines.

As presented by the Ambassador Dr. Wael Badawi for the progress made by the ministries of oil, electricity and energy in Egypt, explaining Cairo’s readiness to share experiences in cooperation with the fraternal African countries, referring to the activity of Egyptian companies located in Côte d ‘ Ivoire and their readiness to cooperate with the Ivorian government in establishing projects in the energy sector.

For his part, the Minister Camara welcomed the cooperation of Egypt, praising the Egyptian experience in all energy sectors, and referring in particular to the attention his country paid to expanding the licensing of minerals exploration and exploitation of mines to combat the phenomenon of illegal exploration Gold, other minerals and diamonds, as well as to elevate the efficiency of the oil refining plant in Abidjan to increase the quantities of oil that can be exported to West African countries.
