Egypt Reaches Gas Price with Apache and Shell

Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum, Shell, and Apache have reached terms on the shale gas that will be produced from the Apollonia field in the Western Desert. The price decided on will be $4.6 per 1 mbtu.

Apache completed the drilling of the two horizontal wells in Apollonia field and Shell completed the drilling of three vertical wells with the aim of collecting the information needed for designing the horizontal wells. The proven gas reserves in the Apollonia field are estimated  at approximately 700 Bcf.
