The Egyptian government expects to see $425 million in funding from the Islamic development Bank. The funds will be used to develop a refinery at Assiut and an airport in Sharm el Sheikh on the Red Sea.
Of the $425 million, $198 million is slated to be used for the refinery and $8.23 million goes toward the first phase of the Sharm el Sheikh airport. A further $223 million for the airport project.
