Monday, March 7, 2022

A delegation from Italian energy giant Eni met with Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla to review and discuss the company’s activities, projects, and investments with an aim to increase production levels at the fields it operates in. Plans for new concessions were also discussed.

The delegation included Eni’s Director General of Natural Resources Guido Brusco, the company’s Regional Manager for North Africa Antonio Panza, and its Deputy of Chief Operating Officer Natural Resources Cristian Signoretto. Also attending were Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) Chairman Magdy Galal and operations deputy Yassin Ahmed.

The meeting reviewed the development plans for a number of fields and the timetables to put them on the production map. They also discussed the position of the new concession areas that Eni won in the first digital international bid round.

The participants also discussed Eni’s plans for additional exploration and production investments in the Gulf of Suez and Nile Delta concessions, which the company signed agreements for last December.
