El Molla Meets with Sinopec VP

Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, met with Sinopec’s VP, Ling Yiqun, to discuss joint cooperation and investment opportunities in the North African country’s hydrocarbon sector.

El Molla urged the Chinese company to continue to invest in Egypt’s hydrocarbon market. Sinopec is currently partnered with Tharwa Petroleum Company in the JV Sino Tharwa.

According to reports, Sinopec is evaluating more than one petroleum project in Egypt at this time.
