Elsweedy Electric Inaugurates Manufacturing Plant in Algeria

Elsewedy Electric Algeria inaugurated a manufacturing plan for the production of electric cable accessories in Algeria. Setting up this production plant cost $1 million and can produce 100,000 units a year.

With its inauguration, Elsewedy Electric brings together in Algeria all the trades of the electricity value chain.

The company installed production units for the manufacturing of cables and accessories, as well as components for energy transformers, generation, transmission and distribution of energy.

These factories can already manufacture 30,000 tons of electrical cables and will assemble 3,000 transformers a year.

The company, present for 10 years on Algerian soil, has 600 direct employees and 1,000 indirect employees. It claims to have a local integration rate of 35% and claims 45% share of the Algerian market of electrical equipment.
